2010 STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL

The annual Strawberry Festival was held May 19 in our Fellowship Hall.  This Strawberry Festival has happened more than 50 years at our church.   Proceeds from the festival are used to stock our kitchen with needed paper products, coffee, utensils, etc. for the entire year

cakes Brian Telander (at left) sells whole cakes, and various sizes of strawberry and strawberry rhubarb jam.  He also sells raffle tickets for center pieces and very large jars of jam.
Slices of cake are lined up and ready to be selected by hungry customers.  Cakes are provided by members of the church. cake
carolyn Carolyn Hobbs and Shirley Hoepker sell chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate stuffed strawberries.  YUM!
Each customer enjoyed a delicious strawberry sundae, a generous slice of cake and the drink of their choice.  The youth of the church, as well as adults served as waiters. crowd

Steve cuts cake On December 27, 2009 Pastor Knudson preached his final sermon in our church.  He left for Minnesota that afternoon to be family.  He will be missed greatly.
Pastor Knudson was a regular in our church choir, and his very true tenor will be missed.  To the right is a quick morning practice session before his final sermon. choir rehearsal

Magician Richard Landry

On Wednesday, May 20 Richard Landry came to our church and presented a wonderful program of magic and the love of Jesus.  It was a family event, preceded by an all church potluck.

Members Work on Organ Repair
Our beautiful pipe organ is more than 100 years old and in need of extensive repair work.  In the picture to the right, members work on covering parts of the organ pieces with leather to save money on the costly repair.
