First Presbyterian Choirs

Chancel Choir

This choir is an adult choir which sings at worship about twice a month during the school year. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings at 6:30. All are welcome.

Bell Choir

This choir is a static choir which plays handbells at worship about once a month during the school year. Talk to the music director if you are interested in joining our bell choir. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings at 7:00.

Praise Team

This group leads singing at worship every Sunday throughout the calendar year. They rehearse Tuesday nights at 7:30. All are welcome.

Instrumentalists

A clarinetist accompanies congregational singing each week to give dimension to the music. Congregational singing is also accompanied by one of three available keyboard instruments.

Individual Vocalists

At various times throughout the year, soloists an ensembles of various sizes sing for worship.

Christmas Cantata

The choirs of First Presbyterian Church and Shields Chapel joined to perform the Christmas cantata, Rise Up! A New Lights A-Comin' this year.  It was presented at both churches on alternate Sunday mornings.
